As we continue on a period of significant growth we have an opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join the Company.
This role is to manage the Procurement and Purchasing Team which is to provide a service to meet the current and developing requirements of Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies in Billingham. To perform the management of sourcing, purchasing and introduction of new materials to site. The role incorporates e-commerce, order placement and maintaining and creating key supplier relations. Payment terms and delivery lead times are critical to our process so this needs to be a key parameter with Supplier that will need to be managed by this role. To ensure all raw materials currently supplied to site for use in GMP manufacturing are sourced via the most appropriate and reliable supply route in line with Vendor Approval process to manage, control and minimise any stock/supply issues. Ensure the timely delivery of raw materials to fully satisfy site process, quality, regulatory, SHE and scheduling requirements.
This role will follow the 5 R principles of Right Price, Right Time, Right Material, Right Place, with Right Quality. To provide cover for the Procurement Manager to ensure we manage all Service Providers in the same way we manage all the GMP Suppliers.
The job holder will also require to have a detailed operating knowledge of the various SAP Supply Chain systems, preferably SAP super user / intranet and internet, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of Word and Excel systems. The job holder must have the ability to work manage a team of people in terms of day to day management, implementation of processes and procedures and to determine changing priorities on a daily basis, to meet diverse demands from a variety of sources, often to meet differing Customer needs. The job holder must be prepared to work flexible hours to manage peak work demands.
Excellent interpersonal skills to establish good working relationships with suppliers & peers of all levels within internal and external organisations are an essential requirement of the job holder. Influencing and Negotiation skills are required by the post holder. The ability to manage supplier relationships is key to this role.
