As we continue on a period of significant growth we have an opportunity for a Principal Process Engineer to join the Company.
You will be employed within the Operations Manufacturing Engineering Group. MEG are accountable for realising manufacture of microbial and mammalian derived biologic drug substance through technology transfer and process introduction activities. In this Senior role you will lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe and compliant production by ensuring processes are fitted to the facility, equipment and manufacturing systems following sound scientific and technical principles. You will also be responsible for upholding and maintaining engineering standards within the work area.
The role involves the following areas:
Capital Projects: Involvement in projects upgrading or adding to biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and supporting infrastructure. This will include specification and procurement of equipment, installation, commissioning and validation of equipment and generation of operating procedures.
Validation: Writing and executing qualification and validation protocols on a wide range of equipment and biopharmaceutical processes.
Process Engineering: Process feasibility studies, process design of new and modified biopharmaceutical plant and technology transfer of customer processes to manufacturing assets. Plant support activities including continuous improvement projects and troubleshooting activities
Successful candidates will be self-starters, have strong engineering and scientific skills, good interpersonal and communication skill. Candidates must have a degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering and demonstrate significant (c.a. 10 years) experience of Process
