Mammalian Cell Culture Scientists
We are currently expanding our Mammalian Cell Culture capabilities at our Billingham site, and are seeking candidates for the following roles:
Cell Line Development Scientists: (4 positions)
Candidates would be graduates with extensive relevant industrial experience, or post-docs, with several years’ academic and/or industrial experience.
- Industrially relevant experience in mammalian cell culture, ideally
- Experience in the construction of recombinant mammalian cell lines, for high level protein (mAb) expression
- Media development – animal component free, basal media and feeds
Ideally, coupled with:
- Experience in using automated cloning technique(s) with mammalian cell lines
- Experience in use of automated liquid handling systems for mammalian cells
- Experience in the use of high throughput cell line selection methods.
Cell Biologist : (1)
Candidate would be new PhD with thesis in relevant area or academic post-doc with 2-3 years relevant experience.
- PhD in relevant subject/area
- CHO cell biology/physiology expertise
- CHO cell genomics/cell engineering experience/expertise
- Experience in mammalian cell culture, preferably with industrially relevant cell lines but not critical.
Molecular Biologist – Mammalian Expression Systems: (1)
Candidate would be graduate with 5-10 industrial experience, or a PhD with 3-5 years relevant industrial experience.
- Molecular biologist with experience of design, development and construction of mammalian expression vectors, for high level protein expression
- Experience of CHO cell genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics
- Expertise in mammalian transfection systems
